Chablis is a perfect winter white wine with its crisp, green apple acidity which helps cut through the rich, heavy foods of winter. Stir up a wintertime sangria with in-season citrus.

Ingredients

cup dark Spanish brandy

oz. soda water

Moro blood orange

Navel oranges

Lemon or Meyer lemons

tbsp sugar
Directions
To 1 bottle of Chablis, add the strained juice of 1 Navel orange and 1 Meyer lemon and the brandy.
Slice the remaining fruit pole to pole and cut into half-moons, approximately ⅜ inch wide.
Sprinkle the sugar over the cut fruit and let sit for 10 minutes. Then add all cut fruit to the wine-juice mix and let sit overnight.
Just before serving, add soda water and stir lightly.
