Citrus Herb Sausage Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 Sunkist® Minneola tangelo, zested and juiced
  • 1 Sunkist lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons rubbed dry sage
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 2 pounds ground pork

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the freshly squeezed Sunkist® Minneola tangelo and lemon juices, freshly grated zests, salt, pepper, sage, garlic, red pepper flakes, and mix well. <br />
  2. Crumble ground pork into the bowl, and mix with clean hands until fully combined.
  3. Shape into 12 patties, about 1/2-inch thick.<br />
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. <br />
  5. Cook patties in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side, until no longer pink in center (internal temperature 160°F). <br /> <br /> <br /> Notes:<br /> Be sure to check the packaging of the ground pork as it often comes pre-seasoned. If it is, omit salt from recipe.<br /> <br />
