Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 large Sunkist® Navel orange; for juice and zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- Optional: Orange food coloring for a festive touch
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs, Sunkist® Navel orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the white chocolate chips.
- If you want a more festive look, add a drop or two of orange food coloring to the dough and mix until evenly colored.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. This recipe can yield between 8-12 cookies based on your cookie size preference
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, you can drizzle a little melted white chocolate over the top of each cookie for an extra touch.
- Arrange the cookies on a festive platter, placing them next to your holiday-themed decor for a picture-perfect setup.
