Chocolate Valencia Orange Almond Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sliced, lightly toasted almonds
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated Sunkist® Valencia orange zest
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls (8 count)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Sunkist Valencia orange juice
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.<br />
  2. In a small bowl, combine almonds, freshly grated Sunkist® Valencia orange zest and chocolate chips.<br />
  3. Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles and place about 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest mixture toward base of each triangle.<br />
  4. Roll dough up around filling and arrange crescents, point side down, on an ungreased baking sheet.<br />
  5. Bake for about 12 – 15 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Remove from baking sheet and let cool for 5 minutes.<br />
  7. Meanwhile, combine orange juice and powdered sugar in a small bowl and stir until well mixed. <br />
  8. Drizzle glaze and top with a touch of freshly grated orange zest over cooled rolls.<br /> <br /> Variations:<br /> • For a flavor twist, switch out the almonds for hazelnuts.<br />
