The best French toast you’ll ever have might just be waiting for your next slow morning! Thick slices of golden French toast, warm cinnamon, sweet Lakanto Maple Syrup, and juicy Sunkist oranges come together for a breakfast that feels right at home around the table. Top it with a little crème fraîche and fresh orange, then finish with a drizzle, or a LOT more than a drizzle, of maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 thick slices brioche or challah
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cup milk or half-and-half
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, for the pan
  • 1 cup Lakanto Maple Syrup
  • 2 oranges, segmented, plus zest from 1/2 an orange
  • 1 cup creme fraiche, for serving

Directions

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt together.
  2. Dip bread slices and soak briefly on each side.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook slices until golden on both sides.
  4. Warm the Lakanto Maple Syrup with the orange zest in a small saucepan for a couple minutes.
  5. Plate toast, top with orange segments, a dollop of creme fraiche, and the warm orange maple syrup.
