Lemon Rosemary Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed Sunkist<sup>®</sup> Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon Sunkist® Lemon zest

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder.
  3. Using a pastry cutter, cut cold butter into the dry mixture until coarse.<br />
  4. Add milk, lemon juice, zest and rosemary.
  5. Place dough on a floured surface and form into a round disk about 1 ½ inches thick.
  6. Slice the dough into 8 wedges and place on a lined baking sheet. Lightly brush the top of the dough with milk.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  8. Remove and enjoy with a cup of tea!
