Ingredients

French Toast Bake

  • 1 loaf Brioche Bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 Sunkist® Cara Cara oranges, zested
  • 1 Sunkist® Cara Cara orange, juiced

Crumble Topping

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter

Sunkist® Cara Cara Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Sunkist® Cara Cara Orange, zested & juiced

Directions

French Toast Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Cut bread into equal sized 1” pieces. Set aside. Into a large bowl whisk your eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, zest and Cara Cara orange juice. Add your bread to your egg mixture and cover. Allow the bread to soak in the egg mixture for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile prepare the crumble topping by using a fork to mix the flour, brown sugar and butter.
  2. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray. Pour the bread mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle with the crumble topping. Bake for 50-60 minutes. To make the icing, mix powdered sugar with the zest and juice of 1 Cara Cara orange until smooth. Pour onto the casserole just before serving.
