Warm Citrus Olives

An easy and quick appetizer to be served.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Sunkist<sup>®</sup> orange (Blood, Navel, Cara Cara or Valencia)
  • 1/3 Sunkist<sup>®</sup> lemon
  • 1 cup mixed olive varieties of your choice
  • 1/3 tbsp. chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

Directions

  1. Cut the Sunkist<sup>®</sup> orange into quarters, then cut into thin slices and place in a large bowl.
  2. Zest and juice the Sunkist<sup>®</sup> lemon and add to the oranges.
  3. Stir in the olives, thyme, rosemary, red pepper flakes and olive oil.
  4. Cover and refrigerate to marinate for at least 4 hours, before baking.
  5. When ready to serve, preheat oven to 400°F.
  6. Place olive mixture in an 8 to 9-inch ovenproof skillet, such as a cast iron pan.
  7. Bake the olives for about 20 minutes.
