Sunkist® Meyer Lemon Shochu

Ingredients

Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Cocktail

  • 1/4 cup shochu
  • 2 tbsp. simple syrup (see sub-recipe)
  • 2 tbsp. Sunkist<sup>®</sup> Meyer Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
  • 9 mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup soda water
  • 1 Sunkist<sup>®</sup> Meyer Lemon, wedge
  • Ice cubes

Directions

Simple Syrup

  1. Combine ingredients in a small sauce pan. Over medium-high heat, heat syrup just until the sugar dissolves. No need to boil. Remove from heat and allow syrup to cool at room temperature.
  2. Once cooled, store syrup in a clean covered container, and keep in the refrigerator for up to one month.

Cocktail

  1. In a tall glass filled with ice, measure in the shochu, simple syrup, Meyer Lemon Juice, and mint leaves, stir with a long spoon.
  2. Top with soda water. Garnish with a Meyer Lemon wedge and mint leaf.
