Grapefruit Compote

ingredients
- 2 Sunkist® California Star Ruby grapefruit, segmented
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1 pinch cayenne powder
PREP TIME
Preparation: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Directions
- In a pot, add grapefruit, honey and rosemary. Cook over medium to high heat for about 5 minutes.
- Once mixture starts to boil, lower heat to a simmer and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and take the rosemary out of the pot.
- Once mixture has cooled slightly, taste and add more sweetener if desired.
- Add cayenne.
- Serve warm on toast, over pancakes, waffles or ice cream.
